AROUND ALBANY

ALBANY BRIG AMITY
Monday and Tuesday were both site seeing days, first we went site seeing in Woolworths to buy some groceries and then drove around Albany and went up to the old Princess Royal Fort where they have a lot of Navy memorabilia. The huge Guns from a battle ship were very interesting as well as the Stationery Guns on the headland. We visited Oyster Bay on the way home and it is a very shallow bay.

Tuesday we went out to Frenchman’s Bay and Cheyne’s Beach. Cheyne’s beach is where the Whaling Station was operating from 1952 to 1978. We did the tour through the whaling station that was very good and very interesting. The coast line and King George Sound is very picturesque.

LITTLE BEACH
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday have been similar to Monday and Tuesday. I decided to take the boat off the roof on Wednesday as the weather was improving and we have decided to stay here until Tuesday after the long weekend. Both Wednesday and Thursday we went into the Post Office to pick up our mail, I got the bearings from Greg on Wednesday but they didn’t fix the fishing reel, it had a bent shaft and when I tried to straighten it, it broke. Friday’s mail had the new free to air card from Johnny’s electronics so we can now watch the cricket and tennis with good reception.

Friday we shopped on the way home and also drove around a few new estates looking at houses trying to get some ideas for our new house. I put the boat in on Friday afternoon and went up stream in the Kalgan River, the scenery was nice the fish were uncooperative but it was nice to be on the water again.

We have watched the tennis the last two nights and both men’s matches have been great, can’t wait until Sunday night to see the Final.
ANNA UP TO DATE HOW ABOUT THAT! Great to receive your emails.
